About Us
In 2020, a group of teachers came together intending to provide quality language education for free to students worldwide. Thus, Sumling was born—a platform where you can meet students from different countries, make friends, and immerse yourself in diverse cultures while learning new languages through conversations.
Today, we are a growing community with over 1800 students and a team of teachers from more than 9 countries. Join Sumling and expand your linguistic horizons!
Meet Sumi
You may already know Duolingo, an excellent language learning tool, whose mascot, Duo, is an owl that learns solo, embodying the first step in learning a language.
Sumling serves as the complement and the next step after Duolingo. Meet Sumi, our mascot, a parrot who loves to talk and connect with different people through conversation. Sumi understands that social learning and acquiring a language through conversation are key to progressing more rapidly.
Conversation Clubs
Explore a wide range of daily clubs with different topics and languages. Join conversation clubs, select your language, and become part of the WhatsApp group where we share the link to join. You can also download the Calendar to access most of our clubs and languages

Partnerships and Exclusive Groups
Private groups, companies, universities, and schools trust us to outsource the language learning component in their academic offerings. They recognize the educational quality of our teachers and the support provided by Sumling.
These groups are exclusive, with classes tailored to specific areas of interest, access to a WhatsApp group, and an exclusive classroom in Duolingo for Schools.

Join our exclusive Sumliclub, where you have access to more schedules and events with different themes. Additionally, for every Sumiclub event you attend, you earn Sumicoins (SUMIS), our own educational cryptocurrency that you can use to purchase products in our virtual store.
